Job Title: Quality Technician
We are currently searching for a Quality Technician at Wilsonart UK, our leading manufacturer of decorative surfaces and laminate worktops.
The successful candidate will be based in Shildon, County Durham and will play a crucial role in ensuring products meet customer requirements and product specifications.

About the Role
As a Quality Technician, you will assist the Quality Lead(s) in resolving quality issues within production and operations, ensure products meet customer requirements and product specifications, support in handling customer complaints, corrective action and feedback, and carry out laboratory tests/inspections and report/rectify non-conformance issues.
Main Responsibilities:
* Assist Quality Lead(s) in resolving quality issues within production and operations
* Ensure products meet customer requirements and product specifications
* Support in handling customer complaints, corrective action and feedback
* Carry out laboratory tests/inspections and report/rectify non-conformance issues
* Support maintenance of Integrated Business Management Systems
* Involved with and conduct internal and external audits/audit systems
* Write reports and provide information to management
* Liaise and communicate with other departments
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Commercial and financial awareness with a full understanding of how failure impacts business financials, customer satisfaction and future orders
* Ability to use various measurement equipment/devices (incl: aesthetic/visual)
* Experience of working in a quality assurance role/environment
* Knowledge of ISO Management Standards and Lean principles
Desired Attributes:
* Equipment MSA, GR&R, CPk Studies
* Ability to utilise analytical, statistical and reliability tools of lean principles
* Trained Internal Auditor would be advantageous
Working Arrangements
This role will be based in Shildon, County Durham, with occasional travel to other sites.
The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm, with flexibility to work overtime as required.
