Inspection Operations Manager

GDi are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated Inspection Operations Manager to join our team.
Key Activities and Accountabilities:
* Coordinates a series of activities performed by engineers and designers from a range of engineering discipline to support the timely issuing of engineering and inspection deliverables to meet project specifications.
* Coordinate with the inspection team and planning on project time schedules, establish target completion dates, ensure target dates are achieved.
* Direct the preparation of technical inquiry to vendors, participate in the technical evaluation of vendor bid offers. Direct and provide guidance in the evaluations, review vendor drawings and documents.
* Review Client proposals/requirements issue enquiries, prepare equipment, material and man-hour estimates.
* Coordinate the preparation of Purchase Orders for the procurement of equipment and materials.
* Provision of Technical Advice to GDi and GDi’s Clients
* Develop Manpower charts and schedules, recommend, assign and distribute manpower for the execution of engineering and construction activities within budgeted project man-hours.
* Participate in HAZOP meeting with the client and representatives of the other engineering disciplines.
Essential Skills & Abilities & Experience
* Vocational qualifications in Inspection, Engineering or Technical disciplines.
* Ability to understand client requirements, proficient in scope definition through Concept/FEED/Detailed Design and support fabrication and construction.
* Five years relevant experience in the inspection of offshore plan and equipment (recognised Plant Inspection qualification, Inspection/NDT qualifications preferred).
* Foster positive and effective working relationships with Clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Sound time and resource management skills.
* Cognisant of business requirements and needs and adaptable to changing environment and business requirements.
