About the role
Morrison Water Services are recruiting for a Project Manager to work on our Novello Project for Welsh Water Repair & Maintenance contract in West Wales.
As the Project NovelloProject Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of all works associated with the Project. The role will be Site and Office based. You will manage a geographical focused team of internal & external staff, FLM’s, direct labour and several approved appointed sub-contractors ensuring effective overall performance of cost, safety, quality, and continuous improvement measures, working as part of a team in a conducive manner for the overall benefit of the delivery activity.
As the Novello Project Manager you will be responsible for delivery of all activities to cost, time, quality, and safety targets including customer performance. Ensure that the contract performs to actual cost & revenue v forecast cost using all commercial reports developed.
You will be responsible for ensuring reinstatement works is of high quality and that poor performance is accurately managed. Maintain healthy and professional relationships with clients. Ensure that all plant and fleet is fully productive.Ensure HSEQ and Customer is at the heart of everything undertaken. You will be responsible for the performance and behaviours of all teams. Manage the productivity and utilisation of Direct Labour & sub-contractors. Ensure that where possible all sites are cleared in line with the noticing period & the TMA. Carry out audits as per SOR’s or client requirements you will need to identify and assist the co-ordination of the resource to ensure effective delivery. Carry out regular site visits to maximise effective delivery as determined by the short-term programme and safety compliance. Support with implementation of a defect coring programme. You will be required to work on Standby for Weekend & Out of Hours requirements. The Key Requirements
1. IOSH safety certificate
2. Repair and Maintenance experience
3. A clean driving licence
4. Supervisors’ street work card
5. Resource Utilisation & Control
6. A working knowledge of disciplinary and capability procedures
7. A working knowledge of accident investigation procedure
8. A good understanding of operational activities and trade skill
9. Financial awareness and ability to work to budgets.
10. Good understanding, supported by experience, of how a water network operates.
11. Proven ability to deliver improvements to productivity, safety, and customer focus in a utility environment.
12. Experience in supporting the delivery of change initiatives, ideally in a unionised workforce.
13. Confident, self-motivated, and capable of operating independently without regular oversight.
