Key Objective:
The Foreman is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, communicating, and supervising the work of all Project operatives, ensuring that all work is delivered safely on time and within budget along with managing equipment and materials required. This involves ensuring all Company and legal regulations are implemented, that all required documentation is completed as necessary, and recording daily work on site.
Main Responsibilities:
Technical
* Demonstrates knowledge and experience of different environments and project types i.e. public realm / Infrastructure works, Earthworks etc.
* Demonstrates a variety of skills and can evidence exposure to basic elements of work i.e. drainage, paving, kerbing, excavations etc.
* Demonstrates knowledge of efficient plant operation.
* Can understand and work to a programme.
Health & Safety
* Actively participate in H&S training and consistently strive towards personal development.
* Participates effectively to risk assessments, showing a clear understanding of the reasoning behind both the method statement and the risk assessment.
* Show active consideration of environmental standards and impact, such as waste reduction, awareness of dangerous waste and mindful of the local environment for each client project.
* Demonstrates a clear understanding of company policy, safety systems, and H&S regulations. Ability to identify correct PPE for relevant tasks and can demonstrate appropriate use in line with Safe Systems at Work.
* Ensure equipment is correctly maintained and stored. Identifying any shortages and actively reporting defects.
* Able to identify foreseeable risks arising from basic work activity and can evidence effective control action to reduce the risk. Effectively reports risks and hazards.
* Takes appropriate steps to ensure own safety and the safety of the team, and actively challenges unsafe work practices.
* Actively aware of and reports near misses or accidents in a timely fashion.

* Effectively monitors resources and ensures colleagues are supplied with relevant material to maintain a productive environment, minimising waste.

Education, Training and Qualifications:
* Essential: CSCS
* Desirable: NRSWA Street works, First Aid
Experience and Knowledge:
* Essential: Supervising a team effectively
Skills:
* Essential: Leadership within a team, Excellent communication skills, Demonstrable problem solving and decision-making skills, Read and understand drawings and specifications.
* Desirable: Basic IT skills, Read and send emails, Communicate on WhatsApp, Willingness to learn Endrick IT systems
Interpersonal Skills:
* Essential: Ability to work as part of a team, Ability to work independently and take responsibility for planning own workload, Collaborative mindset, Ability to work calmly under pressure and keep to deadlines, Professional manner and appearance, Respectful toward colleagues, customers, and clients, Willing to work for periods away from home.
