About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead and manage a small team of sales executives, responsible for promoting and selling our range of Automatic Doors, Industrial Doors, Gates, and Barriers across the Home Counties. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a growing sales operation, working with a well-established brand and driving sales growth in an expanding market. You will oversee the development of new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead & Manage the Sales Team: Motivate, coach, and manage a small team of sales executives to achieve individual and team sales targets. Provide support, guidance, and training to ensure high performance.
* Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Home Counties, building and maintaining strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
* Sales Strategy & Targeting: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive growth, focusing on both new clients and upselling to existing customers.
* Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the product range, including automatic doors, industrial doors, gates, and barriers. Provide technical support and product expertise to your team and customers.
* Customer Relationship Management: Manage key accounts, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business. Address any client concerns in a professional and timely manner.
* Reporting & Administration: Regularly update sales records, forecast future sales, and report on performance to senior management. Utilize CRM systems effectively to track opportunities, sales activities, and team performance.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Proven Experience in Sales: Strong background in sales within the door, gate, barrier, or construction sectors is highly desirable. Previous experience managing a sales team is essential.
* Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a sales team, driving performance and results.
* Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Technical Understanding: A solid understanding of automatic doors, industrial doors, gates, and barriers, or the ability to quickly learn and apply technical knowledge to sales situations.
* Proactive and Results-Oriented: Self-motivated with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Full UK Driving Licence: The role will require travel across the Home Counties, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
