Senior Designer (Revit) - London
Salary £60k - £75k
An industry leader who redefine workspaces on a global scale, from seamless office relocations to cutting-edge design solutions are seeking a Senior Designer to join their London team. With a steady pipeline of work, their clients rely on them to craft bespoke, sustainable workspaces. You'd be joining a team who's proudest moments are seeing the clients first reaction when the doors open to their new offices, and would become an integral figure in the process of crafting these moments.
Your role? To innovate, inspire, and bring the clients' visions to life through intelligent design solutions and seamless communication. As an effective communicator, a lateral thinker and a conscientious team player you will effectively promote both yourself and the Company to all stakeholders, actively seeking and developing personal networks, fostering long term client associations and developing new and repeat business opportunities.
You'll collaborate closely with industry leaders like the Creative Director, Technical Designer, and Project Manager, ensuring each project exceeds client expectations. As well as working closely with internal project teams, supporting them through active design input and the management of all phases of the design process from concept and client brief through to on-site implementation.
The Main Responsibilities …
Understanding, analysing and developing a client brief
Giving consideration to the clients' expectations and longer term needs
Listening to and understanding the needs of all the clients' relevant stakeholders
Identifying any potential risks relating to clients' objectives and requirements and accommodating the potential for future change
Collaborating with all stakeholders and our internal project teams to ensure design remains within budget and is technically competent to the client need/brief
Communicating key aspects of the design to obtain client 'sign-offs' at each work stage
Professionally and effectively presenting commercial benefits to clients
Effectively and efficiently communicating progress of the design to internal project teams and relevant external parties
Working effectively with the junior designers, helping to guide and mentor them
Being fully aware of design, direction and legislative issues within the industry
Understanding the importance of creativity and innovation in developing a workplace solution
Knowledge of and an interest in creating sustainable design solutions and key legislation surrounding them
Staying informed on new business trends and best practice
Actively participating in the development of the business
Required Skills & Attributes ...
Previous experience both in D&B would be benefit
Fluent in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Suite - knowledge of other relevant Auto Desk packages as Autodesk Construction Cloud would also be beneficial
Confident and experienced in a Client facing position, with high level of presentation skills
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines, especially on work for pitches and tenders
A good technical understanding and skill with attention to detail
Excellent commercial awareness and communication, written and verbal
Ability to manage your own time and that of relevant others responsibly and effectively
Ability to create a common sense of team and purpose and take ownership for achieving personal and team objectives
Ability to create a culture of continuous improvement
