Business Operations Architecture Manager
Role purpose:
• Provide operational run of sub-team on daily basis, including managing of external resources, budget, skills.
• Oversee solution architecture function within the department, standardising ways of working, identifying opportunity and driving organisational change to support business needs.
• Provide architectural guidance to business & delivery teams ensuring compliance to solution architectural design in the implementation of projects, managing and improving existing design authority.
• Define and maintain operate the process to provide a living model of Vodafone current and future Application Architecture for the Business Operations domain covering Corporate Systems and Analytics. Provide the architectural blueprint supporting the Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Legal & External Affairs processes.
• Contribute to Business Case definition and support RFP evaluation process to ensure that quality inputs are aligned with future state target architecture.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
• Drive innovation stream within the team, identifying innovative solutions for Vodafone Business Functions value, driving also change to best support innovation initiatives and managing it.
• Ensuring managed people (internal and external) operational run, skills, capacity, budget.
• Responsible for analysing and translating business, information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions that integrate across applications, systems and platforms to achieve business objectives.
• Contribute to ensure the integrity of all Corporate Systems and Analytics platforms. Safeguarding the overall solution ecosystem and ensuring the adherence to the platforms architectural standards and principles.
• Support the Lead to enable and sustain a single Architecture layer through Business Operations domain and integration to wider architecture community.
Who you are
Core competencies & knowledge:
* Extensive knowledge and experience in defining solution architecture standards and guidelines for all Corporate Systems (ERP, HR, SCM, RPA) domains and applications (e.g. Global SAP deployments).
* Experience in innovative technology, and able to work in environment where ways of working needs to be defined.
* Strategic business acumen and understanding of Vodafone strategy and ability to design information systems to deliver that strategy within the Business Operations domain.
* Experience in assessing a broad range of information solutions and products.
* Experience in working in multi-project and multi-programme environment.
* Quick, relentless and versatile learner, open to change. Able to anticipate future and to articulate possibilities and outcomes.
Technical experience:
* In-depth knowledge of a broad spectrum of corporate systems applications operated at a Global scale.
* Experience creating a new product opportunity from inception to launch.
* Practical experience of managing operational budget.
