We have a great opportunity for a Quality Assurance Technician at our Kerry site in Ossett, close to Leeds, West Yorkshire.
It is a full-time, permanent position with rotating days and nights, 12 hours shifts, Monday to Friday.
At Kerry in Ossett, we manufacture a variety of spreadable butters, spreads and margerine’s for every major retailer as well as our own Pure and Smug brands. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will collaborate with different teams on-site to ensure that products manufactured in our facility consistently conform to industry, company, and consumer expectations. Your responsibilities will include meticulously inspecting finished products, holding, and segregating any items that do not meet specified standards, as well as contributing to minimising costs while maximizing production efficiency.

What will you be doing?
Your responsibilities as Quality Assurance Technician will include:
9. Conducting quality inspections on finished products, including metal detection, weight conformity and coding and labelling compliance.
10. Performing recurring inspections such as the Kerry unique ‘Golden 6’ inspection, hygiene inspections and assessments related to Glass & Perspex.
11. Distributing and reporting on relevant quality and food safety KPIs.
12. Communicating with shift managers and the technical department regarding any issues that may impact product quality or safety.
13. Providing concise and accurate information to support quality related investigations.
14. Adhering to food safety, health and safety, and environmental standards.
15. Facilitating and coordinating the lineside taste panel.
16. Promoting a ‘safety-first’ and ‘quality-always’ culture.
What do you need to be successful?
17. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with QC testing equipment.

20. Great level of accuracy and attention to details.

23. Proficient in using computer programs such as Excel, OAL, ICCS and SAP.
