Who You Are You are an experienced Social Worker with at least 3 years post-qualification experience and a recognized social work qualification. You are registered with Social Care Wales or willing to register prior to employment. You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, proven ability to handle complex casework, and are adept in utilizing technology and software to manage case files. You are knowledgeable of relevant legislation, the Social Services and Wellbeing Act 2016, and the National Outcomes Framework. You can work both independently and collaboratively, are sensitive to the Welsh culture, and ideally, possess the ability to communicate in Welsh. What the job involves The role involves delivering a high-quality social work service to children and families assessed as having unmet needs or are at risk of harm. You will provide direct interventions, collaborate with various services to ensure integrated support, and build effective partnerships with children, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams. Key responsibilities include conducting investigations, preparing reports, participating in care planning, and chairing meetings. You will also maintain accountability for resource allocation, ensure adherence to statutory timelines, and engage in safeguarding procedures according to the All Wales Child Protection Procedures. The position requires active participation in professional training, maintaining accurate records, and demonstrating a commitment to anti-discriminatory practices. The role is based in Coed Pella, Colwyn Bay, and requires local residency or commutable distance availability for a 12-week assignment with the possibility of extension.
