We are looking to appoint an outstanding, creative and inspirational part time Teacher of PE to contribute fully to the future development of our expanding Performance faculty at the academy to cover a period of maternity leave at 0.63 FTE (3 days per week).
If you are able to motivate all students to achieve or exceed their target grades, if you are passionate about PE, have an interest in leading extra-curricular activities and are driven to ensure students receive the best possible experience, then this job is for you.
You will be joining an excellent Performance faculty that has a relentless focus on raising achievement. This is an exciting opportunity for an ECT or an experienced teacher. (All our ECTs are well supported by an excellent induction programme).
The ideal candidate must have the following:
* Qualified Teacher Status (ability to teach to Key Stage 3, Key stage 4 and preferably Key Stage 5).
* Previous experience working in a PE department (desirable but not essential)
* Previous experience of teaching OCR Cam Nat Sports Science level 2 and BTEC Sport Level 3 (highly desirable but not essential)
* Have the ability to work within a larger team
* Have high expectations of all learners
* Ability to teach out of subject if required
