We are recruiting for a Payroll Administrator with current experience and a willingness to learn, to join our Payroll team at our Head Office in Camberley, Surrey. After your initial training, you will have the opportunity to work from home up to one day a week. This is a full-time permanent position.
Your work environment
* Monday - Friday 8.30AM - 5PM
* BAM operates a flexible working policy. This role will be based at the Camberley office with the option to work from home 1 day a week after the training period is completed.

Your mission
* Assist in preparing the Weekly/Monthly payroll and liaising with all levels of employees.
* Dealing with all payroll queries from employees.
* Comply with Payroll timetables and policies.
* Assist team in data manipulation and data upload of payroll input data received from various areas of the business
* Enjoy working on a large volume busy payroll. Be process orientated, service driven, work well as part of the team.
* Actively involved in all aspects of administering and processing our large weekly (810) and monthly (2,646) payrolls.
* Maintain an excel spreadsheet and calculate holiday pay for hourly employees.
* Maintain an excel spreadsheet and calculate sick pay for employees.
* Delivery of all payroll activities as assigned to time and quality ensuring a high level of accuracy at all times.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with colleagues of all levels.
* Strong numerical competency with ability to do manual calculations independently.
Who are we looking for?
The experience in the following are required:
* BIK experience, processing P11d’s and payrolling Benefits.
* Payroll experience in UK payroll both weekly & monthly.
* Numerical competency in data entry and data conversion.
* Confident in manual processing of payroll from start to finish.
* Payroll knowledge on current payroll legislation i.e. SSP, SMP, SPP, NIC and Attachment of Earnings Order.
* Proven track record of delivering payroll and continually improving payroll processes which is manual and excel based.
* Clear and logical thinking and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team and deliver strong results.
The following are desirable requirements:
* Able to manipulate and upload large amount of data on excel received from various sources with high accuracy.
* Collate and prepare time and attendance data for payroll on excel using Vlook ups to meet payroll deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and excel with particular focus on having intermediate excel skills of Vlookups, Pivots.
* Knowledge of ITrent & Business Objects desirable, but not essential.
* Knowledge of processing payroll in construction industry.
* Experienced with Payroll & Pension Reconciliations
* Experience of using various payroll systems and ability to adapt and learn new systems
