Eden Scott are delighted to be working with our client to support the recruitment of a Management Accountant to join their finance team based in Edinburgh.
This is an 18-month contract position, with the ideal candidate available to start in October 2024 and commit through January 2026.
The successful candidate will take the lead in managing the business performance team, ensuring timely and effective completion of tasks, while playing a crucial role in supporting budget holders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Guide and develop the team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and within set deadlines.
2. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with budget holders to address issues, resolve concerns, and suggest improvements for their areas of responsibility.
3. Collating key findings from budget holder meetings and presenting this to senior management (finance & non-finance professionals).
4. Assist managers in the preparation of their budgets, providing guidance and support throughout the process.
5. Lead and refine the forecasting process to ensure accurate financial planning.
6. Offer financial advice and support to managers, including the creation of investment plans to maintain the financial integrity of their operations.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
7. Ideally, a Qualified Accountant; however, candidates with equivalent experience (QBE) and the relevant skill set will also be considered.
8. Demonstrated experience in management accounting, including planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
9. Excellent communication skills, particularly in simplifying complex financial concepts for non-finance professionals.
