Our client, a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, is seeking an experienced RF Designer to contribute to the research, design, and testing of advanced radio-frequency technology for integration into complex weapons systems. The successful candidate will utilize their practical experience to make modifications or create rapid prototypes as needed.
What we're looking for:
1. Proven practical RF (component level) design and testing of RF circuits across a wide frequency range (e.g., 30MHz to 30GHz, including LNA Amplifier, High Power Amplifier, filter, local oscillator, synthesiser, modulator design etc)
2. RF design experience for harsh environments (EMC, vibration, thermal)
3. Ability to perform design proving tests and trials in the onsite laboratory
4. Excellent practical skills including soldering, fault finding and the use of RF test equipment including Spectrum Analysers, Power Meters & VNAs
5. Good knowledge of digital, analogue, and power supply design
6. Experience using RF design tools (e.g., Microwave Office), including layout.
7. Fully conversant with manufacturing techniques and capabilities, including design for manufacture and test.
