Eden Scott's client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to join their Compliance team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that the company adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal policies. This position requires a strong understanding of compliance frameworks, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance:
1. Monitor and interpret relevant regulatory developments, ensuring that the company remains compliant with all applicable laws and regulations (e.g., FCA, GDPR).
2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
3. Lead the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and filings.
Risk Management:
4. Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
5. Oversee the development and implementation of internal controls to manage compliance risks.
6. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of compliance controls.
Audit & Monitoring:
7. Conduct regular internal audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
8. Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.
9. Track and ensure the timely resolution of any compliance issues identified during audits.
Training & Education:
10. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on compliance-related matters, including regulatory changes and internal policies.
11. Provide guidance and support to other departments on compliance issues as needed.
Reporting & Communication:
12. Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management, highlighting key compliance risks and issues.
13. Liaise with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, auditors, and industry bodies.
Continuous Improvement:
14. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in compliance.
15. Recommend and implement improvements to the compliance program to enhance its effectiveness.
Experience:
16. Minimum o 3-f 5 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably within the financial services industry.
17. Strong knowledge of UK and EU regulatory requirements, particularly FCA regulations and GDPR.
18. Experience with compliance monitoring, auditing, and risk assessment.
Skills:
19. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
20. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
21. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with compliance management software.
