*Financial Controller - Doncaster*
Treo Recruitment is excited to represent a stunning country house hotel in Doncaster, complete with a championship golf course. This esteemed establishment is on the verge of an exciting transformation, with plans to develop a state-of-the-art spa and wellness centre, alongside the redevelopment of its bar, restaurant, and function spaces. We are looking for an *experienced Financial Controller* to join our expanding team and play a pivotal role in this exciting journey.
*About the Role:*
As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing financial operations across the estate, ensuring optimal commercial performance. You will need to have a background in self-accounting hotels and a proven track record of delivering financial compliance, including keeping all audits up to date.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Reconcile all End of Day reports with EPOS sales.
* Perform weekly/monthly reconciliations for Petty Cash, Stripe, and Gift vouchers.
* Prepare monthly transfers, journals, accruals, and prepayments.
* Oversee VAT returns and cash flow management.
* Process payroll for new employees and leavers.
* Manage year-end payroll duties and ensure compliance with PAYE and P11D submissions.
* Administer RTI and Auto Enrolment.
* Maintain and program the EPOS system and PDQ machines.
* Prepare weekly/daily forecasts and review RotaCloud for approval.
*About You:*
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
* Extensive knowledge of month-end and accounting procedures, particularly in accrued income, stock movement, accruals, and prepayments.
* Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll; familiarity with Tevalis EPOS and Guestline PMS is a plus.
* A proactive, self-starter attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
* A focus on process improvement and implementation.
* Exceptional numerical, analytical, and technical skills.
* A sense of accountability for your actions and results.
