As a Surveyor you will work within a national and regional Team of Building Surveyors, delivering a wide variety of more complex professional and higher value contract services for public and private clients. Services will be delivered across a number of sectors including Health, Industrial, Education, Commercial, Government, Leisure & Culture. The successful candidate will have a great opportunity to gain their APC as part of our wider training programme and wide range of experience on offer.
We are looking to appoint a Building Surveyor to a team where you will have a great opportunity to progress your career and gain MRICS status. Our UK Building Surveying team deliver as one unit and specialise in multi-disciplinary design services on refurbishment schemes, condition and asset surveys and asset management. Therefore, we are looking for a candidate that will complement our current team and services striving to expand and build the Manchester team, supporting work winning and client management in the private and public sector.
Here’s what you’ll do:
* Assist on individual Building Surveying, Project Management, and Contract Administration commissions.
* Fully involved in the production of drawings, specifications and tender documents.
* Survey and Report writing for the full range of typical core professional Building Surveying services.
* Construction monitoring and snagging assessments.
* Continuous improvement to our standards, processes and knowledge to deliver to our core clients.
* Financial, commercial and risk management from project inception through to completion on own projects.
.Minimum Requirements
* Have some experience of multiple aspects of surveying from design work to condition surveys, feasibilities, and contract administration
* Preparation of Schedules of Work and Specifications for all types of maintenance and construction projects
* Experience working and building relationships within the private and public sector
* Produce feasibility and concept reports
* Management of sub consultants and contractors
* Manage the delivery of contract administration services
* Compile and monitor project costs in line with approved budgets
* Promote the RICS APC and support staff through their APC

Qualifications
Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?
Here’s what we’re looking for:
* Be educated to at least degree level or equivalent, in a Building Surveying RICS accredited degree.
* Have post degree experience.
* Have excellent client facing experience.
* Be passionate about Building Surveying and furthering your career with a leading construction consultancy.
* Two years post degree experience in Building Surveying
* Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams.
* Excellent client and team interpersonal skills
