Elevation Accountancy and Finance are excited to be working with a fantastic business in the Worksop area as they look to recruit an Assistant Accountant into their team on a fixed term contract basis.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and assist in the completion of all bank account reconciliations
2. Ensure year end schedules required for tax packs are completed on a monthly basis
3. Reconciliation of PSA to ensure correct calculation and submissions to HMRC
4. Monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts with other group companies
5. Quarterly preparation of VAT returns
6. Balance Sheet reconciliation
7. Adhoc Payment request processing.
8. Assist in the preparation of Statutory Accounts and Tax Packs
9. Processing Intercompany Journals
10. Replenishing and reconciling petty cash
11. Management of Company paid credit cards
12. Completion of national statistics returns
13. The administration and reconciliation of Fixed asset control accounts and produce related reports for management at all levels within the business
14. Manage the capital approval processes ensuring compliance with regional and group policies
15. Producing Monthly Accounts for overhead cost centres
16. Assisting in the preparation of cost centre budgets and forecasts.
17. Reconciliation and processing of prepayments, accruals and standard charges
Person Specification:
18. Experience of finance systems
19. Strong communication skills

23. Strong Excel skills
