Siemens Mobility have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join their team working in Lincoln!
As a Commercial Manager you will be joining our Rolling Stock business at the BSC in Lincoln! You will manage a motivated and driven commercial team and will work in partnership with delivery leads and other stakeholders to ensure effective contract management and financial performance.
This role promotes a hybrid style of work allowing flexibility in working from home and on site!
What are my responsibilities?
1. Contract management and analysis; drive fulfilment of requirements whilst ensuring the best operational / commercial outcomes for the project and Siemens; negotiation of any arising contract disputes with the Customer.
2. Preparation and calculation of outgoing Variation Proposals, analysis of incoming Variation Proposals, negotiating with the Customer.
3. Correspondence management with Customer and Suppliers in accordance with documented contractual processes.
4. Identification and preparation of Additional Services and Claims and negotiating settlements with Customer / Suppliers.
5. Risk & Opportunity management; drive ownership among project management team for mitigation of risks and realisation of opportunities.
6. Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date Percentage of Completion models for multiple large and complex projects.
7. Oversee finance processes (forecast, budget, month-end closing); ensure Financial Statements comply with Siemens guidelines and local GAAP.
8. Provision of accurate and timely management information to project management, Finance function and local and divisional HQs.
9. Work closely with project managers and operational colleagues to support process and productivity improvement initiatives.
10. Drive innovation / digitisation initiatives within the commercial function and the project.
What experience and qualification do I need to apply?
11. Prior experience in a commercial role preferable.
12. Experience working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams.
13. Strong communication, influencing and negotiating skills.
14. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
15. Part or Qualified accountant, CIMA/ACCA or equivalent preferable.
16. Technically proficient in contractual terms and conditions.
17. Experience of working in SAP (Spiridon or similar).
18. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
