We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join our facilities team in Cambridge. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, from 07.00 to 15.30 /14.00 to 22.00, Monday to Friday rotating weekly.
Roles & Responsibilties:
1. Reporting to the Operations Manager
2. To supervise the electrical/mechanical/building trade staff and specialist contractors
3. Ensure the immediate and proper allocation of work, and the completion of such work in accordance with the performance monitoring system and to client satisfaction.
4. Use of the Maximo CAFM system.
5. Order materials and services as required within agreed delegation level and certify satisfactory delivery/completion.
6. Monitor trade staff performance, time-keeping and sickness
7. Provide estimates for quoted works, site measurements, cost control information and maintain necessary records for effective administration as directed.
8. Required to undertake training and qualify as AP and/or CP if required.
9. Requirement to work with tools as necessary
10. Working 40 hours per week from 07.00 to 15.30 /14.00 to 22.00, Monday to Friday rotating weekly with participation in the on call rota
Requirements:
11. Must hold a recognised electrical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant electrical discipline with suitable industry experience; 18th Edition essential and Testing & Inspection certification desirable
12. Significant experience in a building services environment with comprehensive M&E knowledge
13. Will be a team player with prior supervisory / management experience
14. Will be client-focused with a delivery oriented and 'can-do' approach to work
15. Able to demonstrate knowledge and application of the various trade groups to be managed i.e. building works, mechanical and electrical engineering
16. Good communication and customer service skills
17. Able to obtain DBS clearance
