Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and group support to students with challenging behaviour, helping them manage their emotions and behaviour in a positive way.
* Assist students in developing social skills and improving their self-regulation in various school settings.
* Work closely with the SENCO and teachers to implement behaviour management strategies and Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment by promoting positive behaviour and conflict resolution.
* Monitor student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to the teaching team and parents on improvements and areas for development.
* Work with external agencies when necessary to provide additional support for students with behavioural needs.
* Provide mentoring and guidance to students, encouraging personal growth and resilience.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Experience working with students who display challenging behaviour, ideally in a school or care setting.
* Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
* A calm, empathetic, and patient approach to working with students who require additional support.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Relevant qualifications in SEN support or behaviour management are desirable.
* A DBS check is required.
