St Andrew’s is looking to appoint a lunchtime play assistant to join our happy, caring and child centred team.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic individual who:
• Understands the positive impact physical activity has on the physical and mental well-being of children.
• Can plan and lead a variety of outdoor activities which encourage children to be physically active during lunchtimes.
• Recognises and celebrates the uniqueness of every child within our school, tailoring the activities they provide to meet every child’s needs.
• Uses positive behaviour management strategies and demonstrates a compassionate and restorative approach to dealing with behaviours.
• Has the skills to work with colleagues, (including DRAs) to ensure our playground is a happy and safe place for all children.
• Is physically able to carry out this active outdoor role.
• Is able to demonstrate that their personal values align with those of our school.
• Will actively contribute to school life and the wider community.
• Possesses a sense of humour, positive outlook and has empathy.
• Is a reflective practitioner who recognises the importance of professional learning.
Work pattern: Part time (10 hrs per week) 11.30am – 12.30pm, 38 weeks (term time only).
