Missing Service – Project Worker

Contract 37 hours per week
The successful candidate will be conducting return to home interviews with children and young people who are returning home following a missing episode. It is important that the child is offered support as early as possible in order to protect them from harm and prevent the risks from escalating further.
You will be working with the young person in a time sensitive manner to establish what has caused them to run away, what experiences and individuals they encountered whilst away and what could help resolve the issues that the child identifies.
You will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to work creatively and flexibly in order to quick build rapport and trust with the clients in order to engage them with the service and fully understand their reasons for running away and the risks associated.
Qualifications:
Child Protection / Safeguarding Training
Candidate must old a current driving licence and able to undertake any travel in connection with the post.
Hourly Rates:
PAYE 14.30
Umbrella - £17.18
