Applicants should meet the following criteria:
1. Previous experience within a Healthcare environment.
2. Evidence of physiotherapy specific competencies.
3. Able to reassure patients in varying situations and encourage them to undertake their exercise programmes.
4. Able to assess patient’s comfort, and adapt behaviour in line with this assessment.
5. Minimum 2 years inpatient orthopaedic and general surgery experience
Duties of this role include:
6. Support the team to deliver care that helps improve the health of the individual and wider community.
7. Demonstrate commitment to improving care and the patient experience.
8. Assist in the mentorship and development of Physiotherapy Assistants.
9. Ensure a tidy and safe working environment, including cleaning, simple maintenance and safe storage of equipment and walking aids.
10. Participate in aquatic service as required.
11. Participate in pre-operative assessment as required.
12. Participate in clinical treatment under the supervision of the physiotherapist.
13. Book outpatient physiotherapy appointments and manage the physiotherapy appointment system accurately and efficiently.
