Job Advert: SEN Teaching Assistant
A highly reputable SEMH/SEN school group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join the permanent staff at their Totnes site from January 2025, or sooner. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting students with special educational needs in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programs for students with SEMH/SEN needs.
* Provide one-on-one and group support to students, fostering their academic and social development.
* Help create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
* Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
Requirements:
* Relevant qualifications in education, child development, or a related field.
* Experience working with children with SEMH/SEN, preferably in a school setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
