Job description
You will
1. Network and communicate with senior stakeholders across the enterprise in seeking opportunities and value propositions for improvement assuring business, technology and data decisions are aligned with the enterprise architecture strategy and roadmaps.
2. Lead the enablement of the enterprise architecture vision set by the Chief Architect, strategy and roadmaps from a business, technology and Data perspective.
3. Support in establishing, maintaining, educating and governing the use of our architecture principles, standards and patterns championing them to help realise DVSA�s business strategy and overall digital capabilities.
4. Drive informed business, technology and data decisions, emphasising reuse, sustainability, scalability whilst minimising risk, technical debt and total cost of ownership across the enterprise.
5. Represent DVSA�s Enterprise Architecture across wider government to drive government wide architecture best practice and be a key member in supporting the DVSA in realising its business strategy.

Additional Information
This role can be based in Bristol, Swansea, Nottingham, Newcastle, Oldham or Birmingham or Leeds your presence at one of these locations will form part of the working arrangements agreed with you. We operate a hybrid working model giving you greater flexibility about where and when you work. Our expectation is that you will spend a minimum 60% of your time at your base location. Visits to other DVSA sites or work locations count towards this. �
Government Digital and Data Profession Pay Framework
This role is part of the��and utilises an enhanced Capability�Based Pay Framework which provides access to a Digital and Data allowance.
The base pay is �51,997. In addition to this, the role includes a Digital and Data allowance of up to �28,403.
The value of allowance awarded will be based on an assessment of your skills and experience as demonstrated through the selection process.

We are looking for individuals who have:
6. Experience of enacting and undertaking architecture governance and assurance activities.
7. Strong strategic mindset and experience of strategic planning.
8. Robust analytical abilities, encompassing the capacity to gather, analyse, and interpret data in order to inform evidence-driven decision-making.
9. Demonstrate dynamic leadership, motivational prowess, and strong interpersonal skills that enable seamless collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
10. Adept at communicating, presenting, and negotiating effectively, driving impactful change among senior decision-makers.

There may be an element of travel associated with this role to other DVSA offices, with some infrequent overnight stays.

Qualifications
Please ensure to include details of your qualifications within your CV.
Qualified to a degree level in a Digital Development and Technology discipline ( Computing Engineering, Computer Science, Software Development,
Business Analysis, etc.) or demonstrate experience at an equivalent level.
To have a formal architectural qualification in either BCS, The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Zachman, Gartner�s Enterprise
Architecture Method or demonstrate experience at an equivalent level.
