Mechanical / AC projects Manager - Critical Environment / Data Centres
Our clients have an excellent opportunity for a further experienced Mechanical Project Manager / Contract Manager to join their dynamic and well-thought-of Data Centre Projects team. They work with most of the top companies within the Mission-Critical Environment, delivering multiple small—to medium-sized mechanical projects such as chiller upgrades, air conditioning systems, High Pressure and medium-pressure water systems, value and pipework replacement, and all mechanical systems across a broad portfolio of top-end clients.
Client and Customer Relationships are extremely important and an element of account management is required
£70,000 to £85,000

Salary is very much dependent on experience however they are looking for a solid, credible, dynamic and customer delivery-focused individual who is looking for a career move and not just another job.
This will be a 2 or 3-stage interview process.

Educational Qualifications
• · Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field such as Building Services Engineering, Construction Management, or HVAC Engineering.
• · Master’s degree: A postgraduate qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline can be advantageous.
• · Relevant trade qualifications in mechanical building services with a supporting project management background.
Experience
• · Minimum 3- 5 Years of Experience in mechanical building services, with a substantial part of that time spent in a project management role ideally within the mission-critical environment
• · Experience in Managing small to medium -Scale Projects: Proven track record of successfully managing complex mechanical services projects in Data Centres and Mission Critical sectors.
This could be, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear, Energy or any other critical engineering environment.
Good commercial understanding/ awareness.
Ability to create basic programmes in MS Projects.
BTEC HNC/ HND is advantageous.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Overseeing the Project from start to finish.
Checking of design drawings and value engineering where possible.
Attending project progress and team meetings.
Preparing and monitoring Contract programmes and progress reports.
Procurement of plant and materials in line with specification, drawings, and cost plan – small-scale
Procuring and managing subcontractors.
Preparing cost forecasts and recording/ costing of variations.
Oversee the commissioning process and handover to the client.
