Your new role
As a Procurement Officer, you will be instrumental in sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. Your role will be pivotal in supporting the needs of the business through strategic procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise sourcing and supplier selection.
2. Conduct supplier evaluations, negotiate terms, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
3. Liaise with various departments to align procurement with business needs.
4. Manage supplier relationships and performance, ensuringpliance with quality standards.
5. Analyse costs,pile supplier performance data, and monitor inventory levels.
6. Handle Brexit customs paperwork and ensure adherence to purchasing policies.
7. Stay informed on market trends and regulatory requirements to guide procurement decisions.
What you'll need to succeed
8. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in procurement or a supply chain role.
9. Proficient in negotiation, contract management, and procurement software.
10. Excellentmunication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
11. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
12. Flexibility and willingness to adapt to business needs.
13. Strong organisational and time management abilities.
