My Fleetwood based client, an internationally recognised leader in their field, are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Administrator to join their procurement team.
This role is integral to ensuring the efficient procurement of goods and services. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the procurement teams strategy and objectives.
Principle Accountabilities:
* Processing purchase orders in an accurate and timely manner.
* Follow up on outstanding deliveries and expedite where necessary.
* Participate in and manage Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes.
* Identify and act upon on any cost reduction opportunities.
* Support the development of the preferred supplier lists that supports the delivery of commercial and business performance objectives.
* Support with the identification and implementation of new suppliers where appropriate.
* Maintaining accurate records relating to purchases, supplier information and other procurement related data.
* Assist in the development, implementation and management of procurement policies and procedures.
* Resolving any issues related to orders and invoicing.
* Support with resolving supplier complaints.
* Prepare various reports as and when required.
* Supporting the purchasing team with administrative tasks as required
* Responsible for maintaining reports and data accurately.
* Support with the delivery of the Procurement teams savings targets and objectives (to be reviewed on an annual basis and aligned to forecast spend.
The ideal candidate:
* A proven background within purchasing administration
Advantageous:
* Experience gained within a multinational, corporate and organisations and or aerospace, pharmaceutical, electronics, engineering, manufacturing environments
Hours:
Monday to Friday Flexible between 08:00 and 17:00 (08:00 - 16:00 to 09:00 - 17:00) Monday to Friday
Hybrid opportunities up to 3 days / week home based.
