About the Role
As a Band 6 Children's Community Nurse, you will:
Provide high-quality, personalised care to children and young people with acute or chronic health conditions.
Develop and implement tailored care plans in collaboration with families and healthcare professionals.
Deliver treatments, administer medications, and conduct interventions in line with clinical guidelines.
Educate families to promote child development and well-being.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including GPs, schools, social services, and specialists.
Manage caseloads efficiently, ensuring patient safety and timely care.
Maintain precise and up-to-date clinical records.
Offer expert advice to families, guiding them through specific conditions and NHS services.
Participate in clinical audits and initiatives to enhance service quality.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Registered Nurse (Child) with NMC Registration.
Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Band 5/6 in pediatric or community settings.
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding protocols and their application.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a supportive team.
Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for community visits.
Desirable:
Experience with long-term conditions, palliative care, or managing complex needs.
Training in IV therapy, wound care, or related clinical skills.
Familiarity with NHS systems and electronic patient record management.
