Willmott Dixon are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager within our London & East construction business. With our main office in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, we deliver projects across multiple sectors within north London, the northern home counties and East Anglia. This will be a hybrid role. As a Business Development Manager, you will drive our business development initiatives across the region. Your strong network of existing contacts with consultants, customers, and frameworks, will be crucial. Your work and knowledge will play a key role in supporting our growth aspirations. If you are passionate about driving business growth and have the expertise and network to make a significant impact, we would love to hear from you Key responsibilities will include: Business Planning: Be a key part of the production of the 3 year growth plan. Customer First Lead Generation: Effectively align Willmott Dixon’s products and services to both new and existing customers to unlock projects and drive growth. Team Collaboration: Engage the local Board in developing customer relationships and driving lead progression. CRM Management: Maintain and update Microsoft D365 to inform our marketing activities. Networking: Represent Willmott Dixon in the geographical area/sector focus to develop networks and enhance our profile. Events: Manage and attend all Willmott Dixon and industry planned events. Framework Promotion: Effectively position our range of frameworks, together with the specialist Direct Award frameworks that Willmott Dixon Construction are able to offer to drive growth. The ideal candidate: Industry knowledge: Understand the increasing complexities of construction, climate change, Net Zero Carbon, Building Safety Act and our social value proposition – and position these as opportunities as enablers for growth. Relational leadership skills: You see human connections as a key element to realising the businesses development goals and objectives and can demonstrate how you strengthen customer and stakeholder relationships. Analytical: You can source, analyse, and use data to develop your own geographic growth plans and utilising this knowledge in our “decision to proceed” processes. Proactive and Motivated: A highly motivated and proactive individual, able to develop an in-depth understanding of our service offering and build long term customer / project leads and opportunities across private and public sector customers.
