The Recruitment Co. is currently recruiting for a Field Engineer (Fluid Monitoring Division) to join our client's growing team based in the Swansea area.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: 30k plus overtime and overnight allowance
Hours of work: Full time. Hours will vary week to week due to this position being based in Swansea but covering UK & Europe. Successful candidates will be compensated for expenses, overnight allowances, and a company vehicle.
Flexibility and capability to travel is an essential component of this role.
Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the role include Site Installs and Flushing: Calibration and Fluid Monitoring. Lead effectively to ensure priorities are understood and met, issues are identified and addressed, and tenders/projects are managed and documented with the company's commercial interests at the forefront of your decisions.
* Physically active and able to work in occasional inhospitable environments.
* Sound Industrial Engineering Plumbing & Water treatment experience.
* Understanding of chemical dosing.
* Experience of project management (desirable but not essential).
* Knowledge of BSRIA BG29 & BG50 guidance (this can be supported by Senior Team and will be a learning requirement).
* Familiar with HSE ACOP L8, specifically HSG274 Part 1, 2 & 3.
* Base knowledge of corrosion chemistry.
* Strong communication skills.
* Good teamwork and people management skills.
* Problem-solving ability.
* Ability to interpret technical reports and guidance requests.
* IT knowledge and a willingness to learn new systems.
* Self-motivation and a proactive approach to work.
* Good time management skills.
* A flexible approach to work and a willingness to take on new challenges.
* A full clean driving licence.
Duties:
* Travel to customer sites to complete site surveys as part of sales engineering works. Action and complete scope of work and ensure that the project is completed to deadline.
* Review and implement internal documentation control associated with FMS/FMP processes.
* Supporting solutions within the Liquitherm FMS team.
* Liaise with various bodies and individuals, including clients, contractors, residents, suppliers, technical experts, and other consultants.
* Support other project managers, sales engineers, department managers, and directors within the business and across the wider market.
* Keep up to date with environmental matters and be aware of policy and developments in this area.
* In-line with company expectations, professionally develop through accredited training schemes that add value to the role and FMS/FMP department.
