Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Nursery Manager to join our team in Lewes. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring that all children receive high-quality care and education in a safe and nurturing environment. The nursery is looking for someone that cane in with proven experience in leadership to join the team, making sure the staff have the skills and training to provide a nurturing experience for children. The role has support from an administrator, allowing more time to be freed up for yourself to embed yourself within the day to day running of the setting. The nursery is a medium sized setting operating within the hours of 8am until 6pm. There is space within the nursery for an outdoor classroom, playground, green spaces and a forest school opposite. The nursery has good transport links to Brighton and Hove, is a short walk from the train station and has on site parking.
Upon starting, you will be given a three-month induction with the current Manager to ensure you are fully trained and onboarded ahead of starting the role soley. The role includes a rewarding package, with market-leading pay as well as loan facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, including staffing, budgeting, andpliance with regulatory requirements.
2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that the nursery operates efficiently and effectively.
3. Ensure that all children receive high-quality care and education in a safe and nurturing environment.
4. Build strong relationships with parents and other stakeholders to ensure that the nursery meets the needs of the localmunity.
5. Lead and motivate a team of nursery staff to deliver outstanding results.
6. Extending Forest School spaces within the nursery
Qualifications and Skills:
7. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the early years sector.
8. A relevant childcare qualification ( NVQ Level 3 or above).
9. Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills.
10. Strong leadership and management experience
11. A passion for providing high-quality care and education to young children.
12. Forest School qualifications would be desireable but not essential.
