Passenger Assistant
Please note the salary shown is Full time equivalent will be pro-rated accordingly to part time and term time only.
About the role
The aim of Special Educational Needs (SEN) transport is to provide specialised home to school Transport to children and young people living in the Borough of Kingston upon Thames and the London Borough of Richmond to ensure that children and young people with SEN needs have the same opportunities to education as their peers.
You will be responsible for:
1. Ensuring all passengers embark and disembark safely
2. Assisting driver in operation of any safety/adaptive equipment whilst ensuring all passengers who use safety and adaptive equipment are seated and secured in appropriate seats in accordance with manufactures instructions
3. Informing the relevant parties of any changes to route and child absences
4. Ensuring daily registers and all relevant paper work are on board completed and handed to driver at the end of the working day
About you
To be a Passenger Assistant for AfC, you will be passionate about making a positive difference the lives of children and young people as well as demonstrating the following points:
5. Demonstrate a flexible approach in this role to ensure the needs and safety of the passengers being transported are being met at all times
6. Have a good knowledge and a good understanding of H&S and the Code of Conduct
