Careers Advisor - Whittingham Road Campus, HalesowenWe are seeking someone who can work flexibly and on their own initiative to join our Student Support Services Team. The person will have experience of working in a post-16 environment and have dealt with UCAS applications. This is a developing service and therefore the qualified person appointed must be able to initiate change to meet the College's strategic aims. The postholder will be working with students with a range of abilities over a wide age range. They will be required to have good IT skills and be able to demonstrate effective organisational and administrative skills. The ability to advise adults and 16-19 year olds is essential, as well as being IT literate with excellent communication skills. Organisational and administrative skills are also essential. The person must either be working towards or hold the Diploma in Careers Guidance (Part II), or other suitable careers guidance qualification. Advice and Guidance will be offered at several College sites. The person appointed must feel confident in a community setting. It is essential that the person can travel to multiple sites daily (within an approximate 1 mile radius). The College is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and will undertake Enhanced DBS and safer recruitment checks for all successful candidates.
