Leader Education are recruiting a Sports Coach/SEMH LSA to work at an alternative education provision based in Newcastle to deliver qualifications in sport and functional skills. The ideal LSA will have experience in working with young people with SEMH needs and have a sports coaching background.
At Leader Education, the normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 8:30am until 4pm and is a long-term position.
The successful candidate will:
* Have an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one
* Have effective behaviour management strategies
* Monitor and manage students' behaviour and wellbeing
* Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students
* Provide one-on-one support to students with EHCP's
* Have previous experience working with secondary-aged students in an educational setting
* Have a commitment to continuous professional development
* Have sports coaching experience
