We require a candidate who can work quickly under pressure whilst remaining organised. The Purchasing Assistants role will involve raising purchase orders for stock and liaising with suppliers regarding pricing and stock availability. You will work closely with all areas of the business including Goods Inwards, Dispatch, Customer Services and Accounts.
Location:
This is an office-based role. Our offices are located between Stockwell and Clapham North Underground Stations on the Victoria and Northern Lines. We are an 8-minute walk from both stations. Its a great location for public transport and a fast commute.
As a Purchasing Assistant your duties will include:
Raising purchase orders for stock
Liaising with suppliers regarding delivery times, stock availability and pricing
Liaising with suppliers to rectify late, short, faulty and incorrect deliveries
Analysing sales data, patterns and trends
Negotiating with suppliers; pricing, minimum order quantities, bulk discounts and exclusive promotional activity
Updating internal systems routinely with product details, attributes, pricing and delivery estimates
Maintaining up to date supplier pricing
Managing supplier performance
Identifying, contacting and onboarding new suppliers
Liaising regularly with internal departments
Other ad hoc responsibilities
