Speech and Language Therapist is required to provide a service to three Hospitals.
These hospitals focus on active rehabilitation and recovery for those with mental illnesses and personality disorders. We believe that anyone with a mental health condition should be given the best chance possible to lead a happy and fulfilling life, and our aim is to provide individuals with the confidence and skills to move or return to the community.
The first is a 12 bedded low secure unit for adult males with a primary diagnosis of learning disabilities who have additional complex care needs, including Autism and Mental Health Needs. The unit also has a one bedded bespoke therapeutic apartment. We have a strong focus on recovery and enabling patients to live fulfilled lives. The unit is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people we support throughout our service.
The second is a 21-bedded locked rehabilitation and recovery service suitable for males aged 18 years and over. We provide recovery and rehabilitation services to males with mental health needs, developmental needs, personality disorders, Autism, and co-morbidities.
The third is a 13 bedded registered independent hospital, supporting males with severe and enduring mental health conditions and learning disabilities. We provide recovery and rehabilitation services to males with mental health needs, developmental needs, personality disorders, Autism, and co-morbidities.
We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable, highly skilled, and person-focused. We would prefer experience in working with mental health, developmental disability, Autism, and co-morbidity; however, we will consider applicants with the passion and desire to grow and to think outside the box.
We have a strong focus on the provision of evidence-based therapies that enable people to live their lives. Our aim is to deliver rehabilitation, stabilize mental health, reduce challenging behaviors, develop daily living skills, and actively maintain working relationships with case managers and community teams, to enable a smooth and successful transition to life outside the hospital environment.
