Job Description:
As a PV Installer, you will play a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of solar photovoltaic systems. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Installation Expertise: Execute the efficient installation of solar panels, inverters, mounting systems, and associated components, ensuring adherence to industry best practices, safety standards, and project specifications.
2. Site Assessment: Conduct thorough site assessments to evaluate the feasibility and suitability of solar installations, taking into account structural considerations, electrical requirements, and site-specific conditions.
3. System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues that may arise during installation or maintenance, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
4. Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with fellow PV installers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution, timely completion, and exceptional quality of work.
5. Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks and inspections to ensure that all installations meet or exceed industry standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
6. Proven experience as a PV Installer or in a similar role, demonstrating proficiency in solar panel installation and system wiring.
7. Sound knowledge of electrical systems, including AC and DC wiring, inverters, and balance-of-system components.
8. Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and safety practices in the solar industry.
9. Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
10. Excellent problem-solving skills and a meticulous approach to work.
11. Comfortable working at heights and in various outdoor conditions.
12. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to different project sites across the UK.
13. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., NABCEP, MCS) will be highly regarded.
