NHS 111 Wales : Triage and Assessment Nurse.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join NHS 111 Wales at a new Clinical Contact Centre based in Cardiff.
The post holder will undertake telephone triage assessments of patients in an efficient way.
They will advise the most appropriate intervention to meet the needs of the patient using best clinical practice, adhering to Trust Policy, protocols and guidelines.

Main duties of the job
111 Wales is at the forefront of an improving urgent and emergency care offering for the people of Wales both online and over the phone.
At NHS 111 Wales we employ a wide range of colleagues, from Call Handlers to Nurses, Paramedics, and data analysts, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team alongside GPs, Pharmacists and Mental Health Practitioners.
This is a dynamic role in which you'll draw upon your clinical assessment skills to help and advise a broad spectrum of patients, from minor ailments and injuries to complex and urgent conditions as well as to hone your skills in a remote clinical decision-making environment.
As a Band 6 Triage and Assessment Nurse, you'll have the autonomy to make decisions but be supported by our experienced team of senior clinicians, practice coaches and multi-disciplinary colleagues.
Our highly trained teams work closely with urgent care GP's and pharmacists in looking after Wales Urgent care needs. Working for NHS 111 Wales will mean you make a real difference to people's lives and health as we engage with thousands of patients each week.

9. NMC Registered Nurse (adult or Child), relevant clinical practice as a nurse in front line, acute or chronic care, or telephone based triage or HCPC Registered Paramedic with demonstrable post registration experience as a Paramedic in front line services
10. Evidence of undertaking regular update training and continuous personal/professional development as required by regulating body
