Maternity Cover - FTC starting from February 2025. This job role will give you the opportunity to develop innovative products that will help restore sight to many thousands of people all over the world You will participate in the design, development and chemical and material testing of implantable medical devices and pharmaceutical products. In this role you will also work in multidisciplinary project teams from across the company and collaborate with many leading research centres and universities. What You'll Be Doing Run experimental analysis independently on a range of sample types Collect and analyse chemical data Collect and analyse clinical and medical samples Provide ready access to all experimental data for the researcher and/or supervisor Request or acquire equipment or supplies necessary for specific projects Manage and respond to project related email Attend project meetings Setup, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment Develop research protocols and new analytical test methods Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Maintain a clean and tidy lab environment Place orders of chemicals and lab consumables What Do You Need Higher degree or masters in chemical sciences (BSc / MSc) PhD in Chemical Sciences (Desirable) Ability to organize and manage multiple concurrent workflows Ability to improve systems to optimize workplace efficiency and minimize delivery timelines whilst maintaining a high quality of deliverables Adaptable to rapidly changing priorities Good communication and presentation skills at all levels within the business Attention to detail Demonstrable critical thinking skills Ability to manage and understand risk whilst maintaining product quality, patient and workplace safety What We Can Offer You Private healthcare Wellbeing allowance up to £300.00 a year Monthly yoga sessions and quarterly massages Annual programme of fun events On site restaurant Enhanced maternity & paternity leave On site parking
