Quality Auditor | £27,291 base salary | Days only | Chichester
We are seeking experienced Quality Auditors to uphold our commitment to food safety and product quality at our Merston site in Chichester. The successful candidate will ensure that our products, systems, processes, and procedures meet both internal standards and customer expectations with a focus on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). They will also lead audits and oversee the closure of any non-conformance to maintain our high standards. This is a days-only position offering a steady schedule with room to grow in a quality-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Ensure product quality & safety standards are always maintained and manufactured products meet customer specifications and legal compliance requirements
* Maintain strict GMP standards throughout manufacturing sites and conduct scheduled auditing of safety, legality, and GMP standards
* Conduct regular documented checks on all areas and lines of manufacture and packing, including paperwork checks to ensure correct completion
* Carry out validation and verification of processes according to schedule and monitor lines during production reporting any issues related to quality or product safety
* Perform sampling, checks, tests, swabbing, and other conformance requirements according to required schedules and document investigations and close out non-conformances using root cause analysis
* Prepare, audit, and file paperwork for lines & mixing room and set up and conduct daily quality assessments including feedback and trending for operational teams
* Control and documentation of on-hold and other non-conforming products
Requirements
* QA or similar experience working within the food industry ideally with short shelf-life products
* Food Safety Level 2 qualification
* HACCP knowledge
* Basic understanding of Microbiology
* Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and Food Safety compliance
* Working knowledge of Auditing techniques and computer literacy good oral and written communication skills
