Job Description
* Report and monitor performance by operating the plant turbine, boilers, and coordinate incoming and outgoing waste.
* Maintain steady control of the above by measuring temperature flow, pressure readings from the turbine/boiler, control systems, and gauges.
* Accurately report readings and log daily operations in the shift log for continued monitoring and shift changeovers.
* Effectively react to planned and unplanned (i.e., emergency) repairs, blockages, and changes in the plant central systems.
* Promptly react to system alarms/protocols to secure areas of the plant if/as required.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Technical Plant Operator should have:
* Experience and/or understanding of operating boiler and steam turbine plants would be advantageous.
* Experience of using and qualifications in the use of Fork Lift Truck (FLT) and Front Loading Shovel (FLS) vehicles also advantageous.
* A strong technical aptitude and understanding of plant operations.
* Excellent problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues.
* A commitment to adhering to safety regulations.
* Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with various departments.
What's on Offer
* An estimated salary range of £38,200 - £42,000 per annum.
* The shift pattern for this is 4 on 4 off, consisting of 2 day shifts (6am-6pm) and 2 night shifts (6pm-6am).
* This is the case for 7 cycles, and then the employee has 2 weeks of green days (Mon-Fri 9-5) which they are at home for but called in if necessary either for shift work or for training.
