Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit motivated and hard-working graduates to fill teaching assistant roles in Walsall and surrounding areas. This role is to work alongside a classroom teacher in assisting the learning of both KS1 and KS2 students, identifying individual needs of the pupils and aiding with their academic progression.
There are competitive pay rates starting from £85 a day. The role would suit candidates with a degree in social sciences such as psychology or a sports degree, however all applicants will be considered. The roles we have available are a great opportunity to utilise your degree whilst gaining hands-on experience in a classroom environment. Prior teaching experience is preferred but not essential.
Roles and responsibilities will include:
Work with students on a 1:1 basis, tailoring to their individual needs.
Collaborating with the main classroom teacher to effectively deliver.
Good classroom management skills.
A friendly demeanour with the ability to show patience and care with all students.
The successful candidate will be passionate about primary education and making a difference to the lives of youngsters.
Qualifications and skills:
Hold a university degree.
Have a keen passion for education.
Past teacher/teaching assistant experience is preferrable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
