JOB DESCRIPTION
Across markets we are seeing businesses looking to transform their finance and tax functions. The market drivers for this transformation include business and operating model change, cost reduction and the need to deliver more sophisticated tax outcomes and insight. In addition, there is a greater desire from organisations to derive greater benefit from new cloud technologies to manage risk, improve accuracy and insight.
At the same time there has been a significant shift in the global tax environment as tax and statutory authorities look to leverage new digital technologies, including GenAI. As tax authorities and the way they respond become more sophisticated, the need for transparency including expanded cross border information, creates more burdensome tax compliance and reporting requirements with compressed time frames. In addition, the introduction of Pillar Two represents a paradigm shift in the way organisations will need to maintain, analyse and report their data.
Tax reporting has historically been an area where organisations have relied on manual / excel-based processes which are error prone and provide insufficient control. As a result we have seen a sharp increase in the number of clients looking to implement cloud-based tax reporting solutions. This represents a fantastic growth opportunity for the Tax LoS.
