A successful and growing UK based News channel is looking to hire a permanent Broadcast Support Engineer to join their expanding team. Working in a fast-paced live broadcast environment, you will be responsible for the smooth operation and maintenance of their broadcast systems and equipment, which will involve providing technical support to staff, resolving technical issues and troubleshooting as quickly and efficiently as possible. You will have the opportunity to work on traditional broadcast systems such as cameras, intercom and audio mixers as well as new IP and cloud based technologies. You will support technology in an IP networking environment with NDI, Dante and cloud based systems, documenting incidents, resolutions and workflows, taking ownership and liaising closely with vendors and users. You will also have the opportunity to work on exciting projects getting involved in the design, installation and commissioning of new studios. To be considered for this role, our client is looking for good knowledge and understanding of broadcast workflows and technologies within a live studio or outside broadcast environment. Experience with graphics, intercom, cameras, mixers and NDI/IP networking is required along with good general IT and networking. It is important that applicants are able to remain calm under pressure, with the right attitude to roll their sleeves up, working both individually and collaboratively as part of a wider team. This is a shift based role so applicants must be flexible to work on a rotational basis which would cover early starts and late finishes. If you feel this is the right role for you and if you are fully eligible to live and work in the UK without restrictions, then please apply now for immediate consideration.
