About the Role
In this opportunity as ‘Principal Consultant’, you will work as a Tax Technology Transformation and Delivery expert to:
1. Develop Tax Technology plans with goals, build and deployment strategies and performance measurements for our clients
2. Develop an appropriate strategy for the development and delivery of the customer’s project scope
3. Assist in identifying and mitigating delivery related risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful outcomes.
4. Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder workshops and data analysis.
5. Work closely with stakeholders to prioritise requirements and align solutions with business goals.
6. Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful outcomes.
7. Assist the project manager in project planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure timely delivery of milestones and objectives.
8. Develop and improve relationships with key senior client stakeholders, TR colleagues and TR partners.
9. Supporting our client facing teams and clients in adapting to an increasingly digital tax landscape.
10. Think commercially focusing on understanding client issues and pain points and assisting in developing cost effective solutions across process, people, data and technology.
11. Work with Thomson Reuters Sales and Solution Consultants across products to provide insight and first-hand expertise around integrated product solutions; this may mean leading or participating in client-related pitches or workshops.
About You
12. Experience in using direct tax technology in a global accounting firm
13. Strong knowledge of Corporate tax, particularly UK Corporate tax
14. Strong analytical skills and the ability to demystify complex issues with senior decision makers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive results.
15. Client Service – experience working with clients on a range of different projects, delivering excellent client service.
16. Communications/Status Reporting – ability to effectively communicate findings and solutions to client and prepare status updates for projects and regularly communicate and share knowledge with the client and the team.
17. Monitoring costs of own work in alignment with project plan
18. Accountability for the quality of own work and delivery within agreed procedures and timeframes
19. Accountability for determining the approach used to address routine professional issues.
20. Experience of implementing tax specific technology solutions with a track record for delivering to meet customer expectations and deliver expected value.
21. A strong focus on customer service, collaboration and a desire to exceed customer expectations.
22. Good understanding of principles, theories, practices and techniques for managing project workload and analysis needed for key deliverables.
23. Experience of working on technology implementations including solution design, deliverables, stakeholder management and project communication.
24. Familiarity with data analytics processes (ideally using Alteryx, Python, etc.), data visualisation products (such as Power BI etc.) is required. You must have an awareness of Making Tax Digital.
25. The ability to make decisions and operate autonomously where appropriate whilst remaining mindful on when to seek help from or collaborate with colleagues is important.
26. Strong verbal and written skills are essential and previous involvement in launch communications is beneficial.
27. Ideally, you will have ACA / CTA / ATT or other equivalent accreditation, or relevant industry experience.
