Deputy Manager - Brand New Children's Home in Salisbury
Salary: £28,896 plus sleep ins when required

Our client is expanding and is looking for a dedicated and skilled Deputy Manager to help open a brand-new Residential Children's Home in Salisbury. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and has the experience and skills to support the Registered Manager in commissioning a new service.
As the Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high-quality reputation of one of the UK's leading providers of specialist care. You will assist in leading a team dedicated to providing specialist residential care, therapy, and education for young people with complex needs. Working closely with the Registered Manager and the Senior Leadership Team, you will help create a safe and nurturing environment for young people, ensuring a genuinely therapeutic approach.
This rewarding role involves supporting the Registered Manager with various responsibilities, including staff supervision, quality assurance, and liaising with external stakeholders. You will help ensure compliance with legislation and support the management of a team of Support Workers and the Mental Health team.
About You:
1. Hold a Level 3 qualification in children and young people's workforce or equivalent (Level 5 desirable).
2. Minimum of 2 years' experience supporting children and young adults in a relevant position within residential care.
3. Knowledge of Ofsted standards and regulations.
4. Experience in supervising and managing staff in a care setting.
5. Driven to work holistically with other professionals to ensure young people reach their full potential and have the best life chances.
6. Must be a driver with access to a car.
7. Passionate and enthusiastic about helping young people.
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to negotiate, influence, and exercise emotional intelligence.
