The Role Reporting to the Regulatory Compliance Officer, the Regulatory Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring product compliance during all stages of the Product Development life cycle. Responsibilities Play a key role in ensuring the compliance of our cosmetic products throughout the product development journey, inclusive of formulations, packaging and claims. Keep up to date with the regulatory landscape and how this could impact the product/brand domestically and in relevant international markets. Ensure, when required, requirements such as packaging waste reporting (EPR) are handled/met. Work collaboratively with the NPD team, and cross-functional teams when required, to advise on regulatory requirements. Produce and maintain Product Information Files, according to UK/EU requirements. Assist with the development and collation of claim substantiation dossiers per product. Develop strong relationships with third parties, inclusive of safety assessors, external labs, and testing houses. Assist in collating required product information for retailers etc. Work with the NPD team to ensure samples for clinical/consumer testing are arranged on time and requirements are met. Attend weekly NPD meetings with third parties, to develop awareness of product development and challenges. Support the NPD team in managing/arranging internal testing panels for developments, including collation of feedback. Assist with the creation and collation of product ingredient lists. Work closely with Regulatory Compliance Officer when reviewing product artwork, to ensure compliance with relevant requirements. Support the Regulatory Compliance Officer with regulatory queries concerning both the CH and SR brands. Maintain and update relevant NPD and cross-functional trackers and matrix (e.g. Project Monday Boards, Batch Code/retain tracking and expiry dates). Manage translation request process for product copy and artwork Skillset, Experience and Qualifications Undergraduate degree in cosmetic science, biology, chemistry or related field preferred. Ideally, a minimum of 2 years working within a similar role within the cosmetics & personal care industry. Previous experience in skincare/premium skincare is preferable. A thorough understanding of the current UK & EU cosmetic regulatory landscape, and other relevant horizontal regulations. An awareness of international regulations related to the cosmetic industry (specifically USA, and Australia). Confidence in proactively communicating with both internal teams and external partners. Proven problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. Good market knowledge and a passion for skin care. Excellent organisational and time management skills – both when working solo and collaboratively. Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
