Bishop Burton College is seeking an Assistant Principal to lead the Riseholme Campus as a member of the senior leadership group. Bishop Burton College and University Centre is one of the UK’s leading land-based educational institutions. Based in the Lincolnshire countryside, just outside of Lincoln, Riseholme College encompasses the Riseholme Park campus and Showground campus. We specialise in Agriculture, Animal Management, Equine and Sport, but we also offer a wide range of other subjects, all of which are of the highest standards. We expect that our new Assistant Principal (Riseholme) will live within 30 miles of the campus and to support this we will pay relocation.
The successful postholder will be joining a successful college that prides itself on holding the Investors in People Gold standard. We encourage open communication within a performance culture to ensure that all our staff understand and are totally motivated to do the best for our students every day. You will report to the Deputy Chief Executive & Deputy Principal and work alongside an established and experienced team, line managing the management and operational staff associated with FE curriculum delivery at Riseholme. To this end, you should possess substantial knowledge of post-16 education and training, educational funding and financial management in the public sector, quality standards and requirements and used to working in a complex organisation.
Further Education is continually developing, and the rate of change is unlikely to slow down. You must therefore be flexible to manage and adapt to changes and look ahead to new developments and opportunities.

Riseholme Campus offers a phenomenal learning experience, with a Sport & Health Science Centre, an Agri-Tech, Health & Nutrition Centre and a recently expanded Animal Management Unit. With the aim of homing more exotic species to enhance student experience, the Riseholme Park Campus is undergoing an extensive refurbishment.
We work with an expanding range of key industry partners with an ambition to further grow its reputation, both regionally and nationally, as a centre of technical excellence and innovation with class-leading facilities.
