As Packaging Technologist you’ll be researching and developing sustainable packaging solutions.
You’ll be joining a supportive and friendly team, working on packaging for a wide variety of products on the supermarket shelves. They are using the latest technologies and innovations in packaging to develop and deliver creative solutions. You’ll be a key player in delivering the company’s sustainability goals and achieving its ambitious targets in reducing environmental impact.
This will involve the management and delivery of NPD and Optimisation projects. You’ll work closely with suppliers, keeping up to date with their latest developments and implementing regular supplier review meetings. You’ll work closely with other business functions, leading the packaging agenda at internal meetings and being the key link between development and launch in the factory. You’ll ensure all packaging meets legal, brand, and consumer requirements.
Within the team, you’ll have the opportunity to take the lead on a key area, providing expertise and the latest knowledge to the team to maintain the competitive edge. The business has an excellent track record in developing and nurturing talent; providing career progression opportunities along with training and support to achieve your aims.
The role offers hybrid working with two to three days on average on site in the Midlands. It will involve travel to different sites and being happy to get on the factory floor as required, along with visiting suppliers.
The role requires experience in developing packaging in FMCG, an understanding of different packaging formats and a keen interest in learning and driving change.
